The Chris-tians saw a need for continuing baseball recre-ation and found-ed Teeners Little League Baseball in 1951. In 1952 the Christians were granted a charter for a non-profit organization called Teeners League Baseball, Inc. for players between the ages of 13 and 16. Since 1951 more than 100,000 players have participated in Teeners League Baseball. Ed retired as an insurance agent in 1976 and Marie retired from her post as boo-keeper-assistant in 1985. The South Wilkes-Barre Teeners honored the Christians by naming a play-ing field in their behalf.
